As several of you are aware, there has been a lull in coverage in the past couple of months. The team (myself, Coboney, neosystems and EarthPunk) have all been busy with real-life issues (yes, there is such a thing as real life, even for me :P). Ultimately, this has resulted in the step-down of both EarthPunk and Coboney from coverage.
I thank both of them for their input over their time here. Both of them have been excellent in their own respective fields and it has been great to work with both of them.
As it stands, I am sure people are aware of the depth and the logistics necessary to keep an operation such as this up and running. I am proud of the effort that we have put over since I became coverage director. We've moved coverage forward to a point where it's never been before, and I'm continuing to do everything I can to keep it moving forward as Director.
So, what does this mean for the public?
For the most part, there will be no visible change apart from the respective staff being shrunk. I will continue to edit and publish articles when they come to me as well as organize tournament coverage where I can. This is at the very core of my responsibility as Coverage Director and i will continue to support people who wish to write for the site to the absolute best of my ability.
Behind the scenes, I will be working towards integrating coverage into the new site (which won't be a surprise to those of you who read Azania's progress report a couple of months ago). With this, I will retire this site once the new site is launched. Until then, I will leave this open as it does contain useful information. However, without the rest of the team as support I will gradually place less emphasis on this site.
The other major element operating behind the scenes is an own project of mine that I have been designing over the past few months. Over the next year or so i intend to continue to design and develop this project with the goal of going public by the end of next year. While I'm not willing to share details just yet, suffice to say I'm excited for the possible implications of this as it is a project that I feel has great potential for further development.
As always, if you have any concerns or want to discuss anything I've said here you can contact me via email at
